Estonian courts award an average of €7,000 of compensation for moral damages to people injured in road accidents. However, if they do not go to court, victims usually receive compensation that does not even exceed €3000. The more remarkable is the achievement of Progressor Law Office specialists. At the end of 2023, there was a traffic accident in Tallinn in which a pedestrian who was following all traffic rules was injured. The party who caused the accident refused to pay compensation and the insurer only paid €2,600 for moral damages. In April 2024, lawyers Danil Lipatov and Igor Aleksin set to work to obtain fair compensation, and after only three months the dispute was settled outside the courtroom. The insurer compensated the pedestrian €10 000 and the person who caused the damage another €11 000. This brings the total compensation to €21 000, which is three times higher than the compensation awarded by the courts.
